Applicants are required to: create a user profile on the application platform, complete the online application form in English, and upload the required annexes (including a pitch deck). Only complete applications submitted before the call deadline will be considered. Applications will be evaluated by the BIONetZero Evaluation Committee with the support of external experts. Evaluation will be based on transparent criteria, including: relevance of the problem addressed, quality and innovation level of the biosolution, technological maturity and feasibility, market potential and scalability, capacity and commitment of the SME team, alignment with the objectives of the BIONetZero project. Applicants will be informed of the evaluation outcome via the application platform and by email. All applications are submitted under Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) rules in accordance with the Single Market Programme (SMP). SMEs may receive a maximum total of EUR 60,000 in financial support across all stages of the BIONetZero programme. A co‑financing rate of 25% applies to all grants. Task description Under this call, selected Small and Medium‑Sized Enterprises (SMEs) will participate in Stage 1 of the BIONetZero Acceleration Programme (Ideation & Travel Grant). The objective of Stage 1 is to support SMEs in: refining and positioning their biosolution concept, strengthening their technical and commercial roadmap, and building relevant European and international networks. Selected SMEs will be required to: participate in a mandatory BIONetZero kick‑off and networking event organised in Denmark, engage in structured networking, peer‑learning and knowledge‑exchange activities, work with a designated BIONetZero Key Account Manager (KAM) to shape a clear development pathway for their biosolution. Stage 1 focuses on ideation, networking and preparation and does not include technology development activities. Participation in Stage 1 is a mandatory prerequisite for applying for further financial support under the BIONetZero programme. However, acceptance into Stage 1 does not guarantee access to funding in subsequent stages. The BIONetZero programme follows a four‑stage cascade funding model, with possible progression to: Stage 2: Tech Grant (TRL 4–6), Stage 3: Implementation Grant (TRL 7–8), Stage 4: Internationalisation Booster. Progression between stages is subject to additional evaluation and selection.
